BirdDog KBD PTZ Controller

The BirdDog KBD is a PTZ controller that can control up to 255 cameras. The controller features a display that shows the live image from a camera and also provides access to the user interface. The menu view can be switched between light and dark mode. A multiview of up to four cameras simultaneously, as well as a full-screen view of a single camera image, is possible for the live image. Seamless integration with platforms such as TriCaster or vMix allows the selected image on the KBD display to be surrounded by a tally frame to visualize the visibility of a "program" or "preview" signal. Furthermore, the controller is equipped with a 4D joystick with a fine-tuning mode that increases the joystick's sensitivity by 10 times. Of the 36 backlit buttons, six provide direct access to a connected camera, while others are used for focusing, white balance, or presets. Various protocols are available for PTZ control, such as VISCA-IP, NDI, ONVIF, PELCO-P, and PELCO-D. Two serial interfaces, RS-232 and RS-422, are also integrated. Power over Ethernet is possible via an RJ45 connector. Alternatively, a DC 12 V connection is available.
